Flower arrangement on a wooden chair

Workshop Dates:

October 16, 17, & 18, 2026

For over 20 years, I’ve specialized in designing flowers for weddings—and I’ve loved it. This intimate three-day, hands-on workshop is your invitation to join me in the studio to learn, create, and grow as a floral designer.

Everyone is welcome, and all skill levels are invited

Whether you’ve been designing for years or are just starting out, you are warmly welcomed here. Some people who join us are complete beginners, eager to explore floral design for the first time. Others are working florists looking to deepen their skills specifically for weddings. We also often have flower farmers in attendance who want to expand their services and begin offering wedding flowers to their clients. No matter your background, this workshop offers a supportive space to grow, learn, and be inspired.

Testimonials

The best part of this workshop is how intimate the learning experience feels. In other general workshops, the larger class size can feel intimidating and make you feel hesitant to take up time with your own questions. However, Alicia has designed this workshop in a way that makes participants feel encouraged and welcome to seek answers that they've always wanted to ask about floristry. She goes at the student’s pace, shares invaluable information, and is patiently supportive. I never felt rushed once throughout the entire 3 days. We learned so many great sustainable floristry techniques and the business portion was so incredibly helpful for a new florist. Learning to navigate the floral industry as a newbie can feel like wading through uncharted waters. This workshop helps you gain confidence and skill to sail on your own. ★★★★★

I jumped at the chance to sign up for Alicia Schwede’s Wedding Intensive Workshop the minute I received the informational email! My floral business is mainly wedding work and I was trained many years ago. This was my chance to learn new mechanics and new design skills. I had taken a prior Bouquet & Compote class from Alicia a few years ago and was so inspired by her vision and teaching skills, that I knew I needed to take another class in the future. This workshop blew me away! Not only with the content that was going to covered but knowing the class size was going to be small, meant it was going to be very hands on! The class was paced for any level of skill! Alicia and her assistant, Keita, gave us all the confidence to design what was in our hearts but also, to not be hesitant to try new things! The skills and mechanics that I learned are forever engraved in my mind! Each day was planned with things to cover and paced perfectly! The flowers that we had available for designing was incredible! My only disappointment is that it went by so fast! Our group just clicked with each other! Laughter, encouragement and support was a common thread every day! I will miss these ladies very much! I highly recommend taking a class from Alicia Schwede @FlirtyFleurs! Whether a few hours or a few days! You will come out of it inspired, energized and excited to try out your new found skills! Happy Flowering! 🌸

I heard about Alicia’s wedding intensive by following Flirty Fleurs on Instagram. I debated for several weeks about traveling across the country to attend, but I decided to go for it. It was a great three days of learning how to create all of the important wedding florals, plus education on purchasing flowers and dealing with wholesalers and pricing and other business aspects of weddings. I’m so glad I made the trip. The small group size allowed Alicia and Keita to be immediately available to help and critique our designs. I would highly recommend the class to anyone interested in learning about wedding florals!

I learned so much and I loved meeting other flower enthusiasts. Alicia is both a professional and an excellent teacher. She is very accepting of different levels of ability and structures the class to meet everyone’s needs. Her classes are small, allowing her to work hands-on and give individual attention to each student. I came home with great handouts and beautiful flowers. You will leave her class feeling inspired and valued.

I chose to attend this workshop as an investment in my future floral design career, as I'm just starting out and gearing up to launch my own business next year. The professional advice I got from Alicia during this three day training has made me feel much more prepared to move forward with my dream. She has so much experience, so being able to ask her ALL my many questions and get design tips was invaluable. The impressive floral creations that we made together are the new shining stars of my portfolio.
