Step into the captivating world of floral artistry as we present the Dutch Master Painter-Inspired Floral Design Workshop. Inspired by the timeless beauty and rich symbolism found in the works of renowned Dutch painters such as Rembrandt, Vermeer, and van Gogh, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to merge the worlds of classical painting and floral design.
We will work with the flowers often depicted in these beautiful works of art. Depth and movement will create a design with painterly qualities.
This workshop is open to floral designers, artists, and enthusiasts eager to explore the intersection of fine art and floral design. No previous experience is required; just bring your enthusiasm and a desire to create stunning arrangements inspired by the masters.
Join us on a journey through time and art, where your floral creations will echo the elegance and grandeur of the Dutch Golden Age.
A photography station will be set with a rich background, fruits, books, etc. I will be photographing all designs and sharing the images, plus, students are welcome to photograph their own designs.

I’m delighted to share that for the 2026 Dutch Master Painter–Inspired Floral Design Workshop, I’ll be collaborating with local ceramic artist Nicole of Petaling Dreams to create a vessel designed exclusively for this experience. Nicole was a student in the 2025 workshop and understands the dramatic, painterly aesthetic we explore in this class, making her a perfect creative partner.
For the 2026 workshop, Nicole will be handcrafting one-of-a-kind ceramic vessels specifically for our Dutch Master–inspired designs. Each piece is thoughtfully made to complement the moody palettes, lush textures, and layered compositions characteristic of this style. These custom vessels are not only integral to the design process but also a beautiful, lasting keepsake to take home, a functional work of art created especially for this workshop.
